Well the other night couple of us had a poker run in the woods with our trucks. We were almost ready to go home and before we went I crossed the channel as we call it which I had water up past my fog lights truck made it fine wasn't in there anymore than 30-60sec. Got out of the water/mud and about 30 sec later my belt started squealing I figured that it was from all the water and would go away but it didnt my truck has always had this prob that after not driving for awhile upon first start up it would squeal for about a min then it would go away and would be fine but this time it didnt go away. I sprayed belt dressing on it and it stopped it but as soon as I revved it up to about 2,500 rpms it came back and sounds worse. I no my belt needs replaced which im fine with but do you also think I need a new belt tensioner? I hate to spend money on things I dont need.

 

Ok so went to autozone got a belt for 30 and put it on. Doesnt make a sound anymore so problem solved.
