Default gears?

ok i no someone will tell me i shouldve used the search option, but my computer freaks out for some reason when i use it.

but i am thinking about putting new gears in my truck, its a 4.7 2wd, im lookin to get some better acceleration, but it is my daily driver

what would i be lookin at as far as price, and how hard are they to replace, and what should i get, im not sure about what rear end i have i think is a 9.25 but how would i double check this

if 3.55, go 3.92. if 3.92, go 4.10. If you can afford the gas, 4.56.

so is that all i would need or would i have to buy other stuff

and how hard is it to change them out, i mean do you have to line them up exactly right or is just an assemble to the same way it looked before it was disassembled?

Don't know. Probably the strength of the material. Call them up and ask.

It's not as simple as pulling them apart and putting them back to together. You have to check pinion depth, and back lash. You also have to pre-load the pinion gear.
If you don't know how to set all of these properly or have someone to help you, then I'd take it to a shop.

you wont hardly notice going from a 392 to a 410. if you have a 392 just bite the bullet and go big. but since your betching about acceleration, I'm gonna guess you have a 355.
