kick down problem

Default kick down problem

ok my 2003 dodge Dakota is having a kick down problem when im going up hill and i hiit the gas it has to go to the floor before it kicks down and it does it hard enough to move you and as soon as i let off it will do it again i just got down doing a 3in body lift to it it move the throttle cable a bit but i think i fixed that prob

Check your throttle body. Have somebody step on the gas pedal and you watch the butterfly valve. Make sure it's responding to the cable properly.

Sounds like it might be getting stuck or caught on something.
