Default How do you remove the caliper pins?

I'm changing the brake pads on my 99 Dakota and this is the first time I've handled the job myself rather than have a mechanic do the job. It seems straightforward, but I'm having difficult with the caliper mounting pins. Can anyone tell me how to remove them? They are on the inner side of the calipers, so I can't get a good look at them. They also have a rubber piece that obstructs my view of the head of the mounting pin, so I can't tell if it's something I remove with a socket or a screwdriver.

Any help is appreciated!

My 2001 uses the 7mm allen as well. Here's a link for an earlier version that uses a bolt. Same principle though. Hope the link works for you.
