I have a 2000 dakota with a 42RE transmission. Ever since i changed my engine last October it has been hesitating when shifting from 1st to second. It will rev up real high before shifting to 2nd and when it does it will jerk. But this only happens when i turn right and even then it doesn't do it all the time. I've read that it could be the governor pressure solenoid or sensor. Any help would be appreciated.

 

mine did that from 2nd to third..technically still does, but I pulled the TV cable tighter to mask it some.
