Default Whining Noise?

Hey I own a 2003 Dakota QC 4.7.

During acceleration a whining noise begins to comes from the engine not sure where though or why it is happening?
Also, even just revving the engine makes the noise, sometimes?
I can also hear it a red light ever now and then, soooo I am just wondering if anybody else is or has had this same problem??

Could be a transmission whine.

Mine does it. It's rather irritating really, but if I don't listen for it, I usually ignore it.

Actually if put on some kind of exhaust it makes it a lot easier to ignore that whine. I'm not really sure why it whines, but I know Chrysler has had this problem in the past.

Yeah thats what I'm going to do in the next couple weeks! I am hoping to put true dual from the cat to two gibson mufflers and then split exhaust! Oooo I didn't know that Chrysler was known for that. That's great to know! Thanks!
