Question Wheels and Tires

I currently have 285/70r16 on my 2002 dodge dakota I want to buy new 18in rims but dont want the overall tire size to be smaller what size tires do I need on the new rims to keep the overall size?

285/60r18 will keep your tires 31x11"s

I always screw up the metric tire sizes.

Batty remind me what each of the numbers stand for. I know the last is obviously rim size..

285 is width in mm
60 is the percentage of width in sidewall height

If Im not mistaken that is
