Default Chips!

I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota 318 with CAI, Flowmaster exhaust, 180 stat and some more **** i cant remember right now. i was recently looking at JET Performance chips and was wondering if they were worth the money. My dakota is Automatic if that helps. I would like some info, so if you could help me out that would be great. Thanx!

Darn man if u had one for the 5.2 i would be all over it. i was also reading that the only way u can put a stage 2 in a dak is if u have a free flow exhaust and a 180 stat and a CAI helps. so i figured i would go stage 2

according to popular knowledge, jet chips become overwritten over time by the factroy pcm and are rendered useless. i however have no facts based upon this claim but read enough on a few different forum boards saying theyre garbage, but dont take my word for it. just give you a heads up to do your research first before you lay down a couple bucks

if youre gonna tune it, go with a super hips programmer if you dont want to go crazy. if you really dont mind spending a couple of extra bucks, look up SCT tuner. im almost certain theres something on their site for the dodge v8 but im sure if you talk to the right person, you can have something brewed up for your truck
