Default Tint

Does Anyone Know What The Stock Tint Percentage Is On The Rear Windows? 35%? My Rear Windows Came From The Factory Stock With Tint, But Not The Front Ones? Anyone Know?

Front windows do not get tint from the factory because in many states, front window tint is illegal. Rear window tint is 20%.

I layered 5% over the 20% to get aprox 4% tint, and put 35% on the front windows. Not too dark, but keep the sun out. It's illegal in NY to have front tint, but the cops don't bother me much.

Thanks. The reason i asked was because i wanted to tint the front windows and i didnt want it to look darker than the rear. that would be stupid.

^^ i did the same thing, but i used to have 5% on the driver and pass. window, but after a while of that i got rid of it because at night it was just too dark to see anything, i had to roll my windows down to drive in a parking lot. so now my front 2 are tinted 20%.

Yeah it was easy took about 10min to do but should of took longer it said to take door panel off to ensure no edges were exposed but I said heck with it and just put my windows up and tried to slide it up as much as possible and there is about a half a inch of window at the top thats not done but i dont mind it since my windows are either all the way up or down never only half

Yeah I've done 5% on front windows before, and had to learn how to drive the car at night.

I've become a bit notorious with the local police about my tinted windows. They've pulled me over numerous times for it, but I always got out of it. But that was back when I had 5% or 20% on the front windows. I got my Dakota, and decided to grow up a little, and be a bit safer and only put on 35%. The police still know it's me, but they don't bother me much anymore. It's light enough that they don't care because they can see through the windows.
