a decent work truck could be found for under a thousand bucks. A couple years ago I worked in a town 20 miles away at a hotel that was renovating. Every day there would be dirt and **** all over my truck and I was getting tired of it. So, I bought an 88 dakota for 400$ that ran perfectly fine, just looked a little rough. You could do the same type of thing. You'll get a better job someday and regret selling the R/T.

I am starting to think you might be right. I do love that thing, and the things about it that annoy me prolly wouldn't bother someone else...I'm just picky

Yeah man, don't sell it. Do what I and wink do. It just tears me apart to use my Dakota as a work truck since it's in such great condition, so I traded my Shadow for an 87 Suburban 2WD monster. Trade value was only about $400-$500 or some but it runs fine, and has a rebuilt tranny (Funny I was talking to you about u-joints too cause the burb needs them)

Get a beater. You'll be happy you did. Plus, if you into an accident (god forbid), you only out couple hundred bucks, instead of wrecking that beautiful R/T. And if you get a beater car not a truck you'll get better gas mileage. Also, the way I treat my beaters is I buy them, run them like they are, and when they break down, sell them to some other poor sap to buy, or junk it. And yet another good reason to have a beater, if your R/T needs work, then you can drive the beater and not have to figure out how your gonna get such and such fixed and still get to work on time.

I'm tellin ya man, beaters are a win win.

Def +1000 to the other guys.

Get a beater. If you don't need a truck buy a little car that gets 25-30 mpg. A friend of mine has an 82 CJ w/ a 360 and bought a 92 civic and gets about 35mpg as opposed to 10-12 mpg with the jeep.

Ok, so I'll put off the selling for alittle while I think... I really don't want to but I can prolly find a cheap little Honda or something to take care of the mileage thing. As for the u-joint deal, I'm going to check it out tomorrow and make sure thats not what it is. It's almost got to be u-joint or tires causing the problem. I would almost rather it be a joint, I still have to pay off the two tires I got the other day haha.
