well i took it to dodge today and they said either bad synchro's or just needs the tranny fluid changed....so i guess thats what im doing this weekend

The synchros don't go bad all of a sudden. I'm betting on a leak in the hydraulic system somewhere...

You are wrong!!! Many manual transmissions take ATF!
The NV3500 uses synchromesh, not gear oil!!!

It's this kind of ignorance that kills transmissions. The tranny was bad in my truck when I got it, guess what fluid it had? Gear oil!
