I have to agree with my 3.55's these sucked on the highway. It couldnt find a gear at 65-70mph it was constantly shifting back and forth, I hated that!

Well me and Hahns5.2 both have nv3500 5 speed manuals, so it isn't so much an issue of the tranmission shifting itself as it is an issue of it seems to take a lot more gas to spin the bigger tires cause it sounds like he's getting a lot better mpgs than me. But I can see where that would be really annoying to have the transmission always shifting on the interstate... good way to burn up a transmission.

On the other hand the smaller tires make 2nd more useful when starting out, I usually use 2nd for rolling stops or starting downhill.

Good point... I usually have to be going slightly faster than a "rolling stop" to start in 2nd. Oh well, when these tires wear out, I'm putting on 33s and swapping in 4.10s... but that won't be anytime soon.
