Default Need Help

Hello,
New to the forum and have a question I can't seem to find the answer for.

I have an 02 Dakota that I've been doing some work on, new rad and thermostat. While doing the work I noticed a connector plug that was loose, not hooked up to anything. I cannot seem to find any place that it is supposed to go.

I have attached a picture of it looking from the front of the truck. It is laying where the air filter housing would normally be. Please let me know if anyone has any luck in finding out where it should go.
Please let me know if the picture doesn't work.

Thank you,

There's no telling what the plug is for. If you didn't disconnect anything from it, it's safe to believe it is just existing wiring for some option your truck does not have. You can just leave it alone and the truck should be fine. I think I have an unused wiring plug like that in the same spot on my 2001 3.9. No clue on what it is for though.

I bet its for front ABS that your truck does have. Don't feel bad, stuff like that bugs me too.

Thanks guys,
I did notice it was disconnected before I even started working on my truck. I figured it was for an option I don't have but needed to find out.

Thanks again,
