Recently the ABS pump om my Dakota started running all the time even when you turn off the ignition. The only way to turn it off is unplug it or pull a fuse. I took it to a shop (not a dealer) and they couldn't find the problem with thier computer, they said I needed to take to the dealer and it would probably cost over $1200. Its got 167000 miles and I hate to put that much into ABS since the brakes work fine. Any ideas

 

A wire is shorting out! Take a look at all wires.
