Last week, while the truck was running, I had several lights come on. Abs, Brake, Airbag, and a few more. The speedometer and odometer quit working, but the odometer was still illuminated, just wouldn't register miles. The cruise light would come on, but the cruise wouldn't engage. The radio control buttons on the steering wheel quit working but I could operate the volume with the control ****.

When I got home, I shut off the truck and restarted it. The problem was gone. I've driven it daily since, but the problem hasn't returned. I'm kinda thinking it will happen again.

I'm curious if I'll have ability to engage 4wd if the problem happens during deer season and I'm off-road.

Truck is an 04 Dakota 4wd V8 club cab.

ive had it b4 but mines way worse it actually just started the other day and hasnt gone away since. i got the check engine, abs, fuel, and ebrake lights on also none of my gauges work i got no fuel, oil pressure, engine temp, speedo, tach, or battery gauges working. im clueless as to whats wrong all i know is i took the dash off to put a new head unit in pluged everything back together started it up and ended up with that bs. so if anyone knows how to fix it let me know please.
