Default REAL cowl induction hood

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that sells a true cowl induction hood for a '97 dakota? 'True' as in ducted to the rear of the hood and SEALED to the throttle body. It doesn't look like the Reflexxion hood is anything more than a bulged hood (if so, it would be an 'all show, no go' deal)

Appreciate the help,

Rich

i have the reflexxion steel cowl induction hood on my truck and it is a true cowl induction. the back of the raised part of the cowl is metal mesh screen and it can draw air in through there. its not "all show and no go"

does it seal to the throttle body? If it doesn't then all you get is hot air off the engine blowing over the engine and out the vent in the back of the hood. Early 70's Chevelle is a good example of a ducted hood. Basically have to keep the hot turbulent air out of the intake path.

there is an intake set up you can buy for it, but my truck does has the same throttle body as your truck does so it wouldnt work that same on my truck.

Plus, the TB sits lower than the hoodline I think, so flextube or a hat has to connect them.

the only cars those actually do any good on are high power dragsters that pull more air than a hoover vacuum.
you 'might' get a horsepower or 2 having a "true" ducted cowl hood
you'd get more out of a shaker or a ducted ram air hood
cowl hoods are more designed for heat dissipation by giving the hot engine air a better escape route, mount your intake/filter behind a head light or next to the radiator to get another HP point
