Yep...I think that this truck is just messin' with me! It couldn't have given me that code two days ago! Noooooo......it had to wait until I had the pan off to change the filter...THEN it gives me the code!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

 

Sorry for bringing back to life an old thread here but, did you finally get it fixed?

I am starting to have the same problem with my 98 Dak (and have just changed the fluid and filter yesterday...) But have no codes so far...

 

Yes sir, it has been fixed. It was the 3-4 shift solenoid that was bad. I bought a new one from a local dealer for around $100, and then I had a tranny shop install it for another $80. It's been working perfect since then!
