Water damage
my dad went for a ride today, and forgot to roll up hius window. storm arrived at 7 or 8 pm or so, and I go out to find the window open. Passenger floor is flooded, dash is soaked, and it got so far as to get the inside of the driver side window wet.
I was able to drive it into the garage (after dad pulled his out), the glove box had water in it, the center consoles both were full with water, the passenger front floor mat had standing water, the sub box got wet (MDF >
), the sub amp underneath the passenger seat on a piece of MDF got wet.
We gutted everything we could out of everywhere, toweled the seats and floors, ran the shop vac across the fabric so that it was airtight, did that 4 or 5 times for all the seats and the front floors, now we have a fan blowing air through the cab.
It drove and everythign worked as should, so I think the computers are all safe. But my head unit is fully exposed without the faceplate, so i'm fearing that i may have killed the head unit. I ran a hair dryier on high setting across the HU, AC controls, the multifunction switch, and the headlight switch, hopefully any surface water got evaporated or otherwise removed.
Any paticular sots I need to check out? I'm not gonna dare out the radio faceplate on for a couple days, I pulled the in-line fuse (40A) and the on-board fuse (15A) for the sub amp under the seat, and both were good. The HU has a pair of 10 amp fuses in it, but i cant get to those until i re-locate my extraction keys.

I would not worry about anything, especially after the diligent drying you did with the truck. This happened once to a BMW I had when I fell asleep with the key in my pocket, and somehow triggered the magic combination that rolled down all the window and opened up the sunroof. Everything was soaked, but after drying similarly to what you did, I never had a single electrical issue in the next 3 years of driving before selling.
The only thing I would watch for is mildew. You might want to buy some anti-mildew spray.

My father left the window open 4 or 5 inches in his f-150 last winter. That night we got 10 inches of snow and the cab was full of snow. He cleaned it all out and everything still worked fne.
I've had it on the 2 right side tires, I've had it completely airborn, I've drifted it, i've autocrossed, I've done burnouts, it's been watered out, i've gone half a truck length through a barb wire fence, taken out a stop sign, the list keeps growing.
Right now, both front fenders are torn to shreds on the inside lip, and both front tires are shredded on the outside tread blocks. Not a coincedence- after taking flight, what goes up, must come down. and my truck seems to bottom out very easily. My next mod will either be longer bumpstops, or coil-over assist shocks (i've seen them, and even put a set on a buddie's 1985 GMC C-15).
