i got a 99 dakota with a 3.9 and it seems to take a minute or so for the fuel pressure to build to start,where is the fuel filter on this truck.

 

One of their better ideas was to attach the filter and pressure regulator to the fuel pump,then put the whole thing in the fuel tank.
No inline filter on these, they figure it will last forever and replacing it is not part of the regular service.
