Default Po601.

My trucks engine light came on the other day and I checked it and I get the code PO601. From what I gather this is a problem with the main computer. The truck is running fine and I can't tell anything is wrong with the truck. Is it possibale that this is a faulty code? I cleared it once and it came back on the next day. As I stated earlier the truck is running fine. Do I need to worry about it or is it gonna leave me stranded on the side of the road one of these days?

Yeah I knew that the PCM was supposedly bad but what is it gonna hurt if I keep driving te thing without replacing the PCM. As stated above I can't even tell something is wrong, truck runs fine. I just don't want to get stranded on the side of the road. Are there any alternatives than going to the stealership and getting a new one?
