No low range in 4x4

No low range in 4x4
Hello everyone, new kid on the block.
I own a 04 dakota 4x4 quadcab. About 8 months ago, when I switched to 4x4 low range, the indicator on the dash would flash, and no low range. My 4x4 high range works fine 2x4 works fine too, its just when I switch to 4x4 low. Has anyone had this issue before? If so, what did you find?
