Default 99 Dakota - Where is my distributor cap?

I've got what I have to admit is a shameful newbie question. I cannot find my distributor cap on my 99 Dakota. I've had such an easy time changing out my distributor cap on older models, but I cannot find the bugger on my truck!

Can anyone guide me here? I follow the spark plug wires from the plugs but I get lost behind the engine up against the fire wall. My Haynes manual makes it sound so easy and I can swear I hear it laughing at me whenever I scour the chapter for more info!

Can anyone tell me where I should be looking?

It is right up against the firewall. you will need to pull the air hat off to get a good look at it and make your life easier when replacing. IIRC if you are changing the ditributor and not just the cap and rotor you may need to take off the TB but don't quote me on that.

Just the cap and rotor. Awesome, thanks so much for the help! With the air hat off and looking up against the firewall, I can see it. Much appreciated!
