35"
I have 35" tires on my 2000 dodge dakota quad cab , but without any lifts .
I turned up the torsion bars and removed a little bit of unwanted body metal and front bumper . I do get tire rub when I turn all the way to left or right but if u can control the way u drive and just dont turn the steering wheel all the way then its fine but if u do all that happens is the tire touches the chassis a bit nothing to complain about . I have 35" buckshot tires on the original rims .

snow
yes it is useless trying to drive in snow if u dont have large tires , when driving in snow u let most of the air out so that the car floats on top of the snow. 35" tires in a truck this size dont have a lot of say in heavy snow but in everything else they do just fine . The trucks in my album are not mine but they are all cars in iceland . The point in having the car as low as u can , is so the center of gravity is lower and the ride better and the car can drive in a more of a slant then if the its center of gravity is high . In iceland there are rules and regulations on how u raise and modify your truck . They include rules like no body lift higher the 3" and u have to have fender flares so that your tires dont stick out etc , pretty strick rules but make the roads save and keep cars thar are not road worthy of the roads .
