Just be safe. I know not all Dak's came with abs (mine didn't), I just wouldn't want to remove anything that would make a vehicle safer to drive, espeically in snow.

well, according to law, any pickup truck built 97 up had to come with abs on at least the rears, later they changed so they have to have ABS on all 4,
i'll lock my front brakes up more often than not, thats where 70-75% of the braking power is anyways, so the rears shouldnt ever lock up before the front

Haha really? I guess my ABS just doesn't work then. My brakes just lock up.

Hell, I don't even use ABS. Jsut use prgressive squeeze. The only time ABS works is dry pavement. You get more control on snow if you use progressive squeeze.

I looked on a spec sheet of my truck I got a while ago, says I have ABS for the rear wheels..

But, in the fuse box in the engine compartment, the 40A for the ABS pump is missing.. However, even if I put one in, there is only one tab for the fuse to plug onto, instead of two... so it wouldn't make any sort of contact anyway. Is this why there is no ABS?

well that could be your problem lol,

i did some actual driving today and other than the rust buildup on hte rotors it stopped great, i still need to do a full system bleed i think
