optima battery froze needed a boost
well kinda pissed that my 3 month old optima yellow top battery wouldn't start my truck, im over it i guess it was -40 lol what can you do

Damn! That sucks! What kind of battery will survive that low temp. I got 2 yellow tops in my truck. I love Optimas!

Wel i can see why it didnt want to start -40 thats damn cold. Get the insulation/heater that wraps around your battery and plug it in most of them will keep the battery anywhere from 40-60 degrees. So far its only been -8 for one or 2 nights here in the mountains of pa but my truck has always started right up for me.

Mine starts fine down to -37 below with a walmart battery...

-37F and -40 C is pretty close to the same. Cold but the battery SHOULD have worked fine. I would take it in.

it is celsius but yea -40 meets up with ferinheight(however you spell it) lol i plug it in now for sure when it gets below -30 starts fine till then

Sounds like a warranty issue.
Once frozen, lead/acid batteries are toast. You will have to replace it.

Yup -40 is the only temp where C and F are the same...
