Blown transmission...options?

Just got a quote on a rebuild for 1500 with a 2 year 24k mile warranty

I got a rebuilt one put in for $1200, but seems like no one else has seen a price this low which is surprising because i usually have a habit of finding high prices...

And 140k is not good for any tranny. A tranny should last a LOT longer than 140k. Just so happens Dodge couldn't build a tranny to save their life...

Oh I know that I'm saying as far as hitting 140k on a 46re I didn't do too bad

my truck is on its 3rd transmission at 72,000...

Default What's the cost to change a reverse band??

I know.... if you are going to change the reverse band you might as well do a rebuild.

So far I have 260k on mine and haven't had a problem yet. Then again it's a 5sp too, LOL.

Should be getting the truck back tomorrow they're putting the tranny in now. Shift kit ran me about 125 bucks that's with a college student pity discount. And it cost me another hour in labor. I'll let you know how it rides with the shift kit.
