when i bought my 4.7L the previous owner superchiped it. so i cant tell you how it ran stock. but, the speed cutoff is removed (which i have tested fully ), i think it shifts higher than others ive compared to on youtube oh and it sure does eat up gas with the performance tune. a CAI and exhaust will make it run like a champ.

those two basic mods will def help performance/sound. and if i was you, depending on where you live and where you drive mostly. for town/traffic driving reflash the dakota to the economy tune, then if you want to go on the highway or race, whatever, reflash it to preformance. which only takes a few minutes. my city gas mileages is just awful.

Thunder - Same here. My 4.7 is averaging about 11mpg city and only 14 highway.. Hopefully these mods will change that for the better. Thanks for the help to you and everyone else!
