Default Body lift

I was think about doing a body lift on my 2001 QC 4x4 I wasn't sure if I should go with the 2 or 3 in kit I don't want my tires big enough for them to rub. Do I have to lengthen the break lines? Don't want to dish out the money for a suspension lift but I want some extra clearance and bigger tires. Suggestions?

I'm not 100% but I'm sure the brakes lines and wires and fuel lines should have enough flex in it. You may have to cut and weld in a spacer for the shift linkage and maybe weld in a steering shaft spacer. Check their web site for details. http://www.performanceaccessories.com/

i did a 3 inch body lift on my 2wd extended cab dakota and the brake lines and fuel lines had just enough flex so i dont think you need to lengthen them. as far as the steering and 4wd shifter Crazy4x4RT is right you you will have to add a piece to the steering shaft and weld it a peice of rod for the 4wd shifter. also you didnt mention if you had a stick shift or not but if you do you will have to bend the shaft to a certian degree to compensate for the raise in the body. all the pieces needed are included in the body lift kits provided by performance accessories

Brian, you will not need to lengthen brake lines, heater hoses or AC lines. Shift and steering extensions are included in the kit and are required for proper installation."
