yeah they are great on the trails, usually places like the cliffs or badlandz home base has one so if you have an emergency you can radio in... also my friends use them to coordinate pranks :D and just in general they are badass

as for location im going to take a look at my roof, cause im 5'5 so head room isnt an issue, i saw these SUPER magnets at my local Ace that have like a 3 inch metal rod sticking out of them to hang things on, i really had to put weight on it to get it off the board so that might be my way to go,or next to the T-case shifter and area
cuase i use my cup holders, and under the seat i know it will get runined
or maybe i can remove my overhead sunglass hold thing because i dont have the VIC


how easily can these things be disconnected and taken out?

They're pretty easy to take out depending on how you wire them. my wires are tucked up under my dash so those are pretty easy. The antenna is underneath the molding on the floor so I would just have to take out like 6 screws to remove that. I would show you pictures but the tranny shop is still working on putting the tranny back in so I'll get it tomorrow sometime.

i put the mic right in the door pocket and it doesn't get in the way or anything.
