Default 3.7 turbo

I have a 04 Dakota with a 3.7 v6, and I got my hands on a t26 off of a 87 supera. I plan on mounting it underneath. What I was wondering is if any one has tried this before, and if so got any tips. I also wanted to find out if any one knows a place to reprogram my computer for larger injector flow. Thanks guys

biggest thing to solve is make sure your computer doesn't freak out when it detects boost. I dont' know how it measures airflow, but some computers don't know what to do when boost comes into play, only vacuume. so you may need a stand alone ECU, or piggy back might work. But those are never going to give you the best performance. What are you going to do about the intercooler? YOu found someone to make custom piping for you? What kinda BOV? 87 supra...is turbo even still good or you going to get it rebuilt? How much boost you going to run? will your engine be able to handle it, that is does it have high compression or too many miles. Make sure your radiator is up to the cooling task. Turbo's make engines make lots of heat.
Hope this helps.

I think your truck could handle it. First off the do not know what the stock compression is on your truck but im sure its not that high which means your motor is not as prone to detination. The things I would concider looking into is how strong the stock headgasket is and if you need to, replace it. You probably will need a piggyback ecu in order to adjust the computer to your own custom air/fuel ratio @ x rpm. With a little bit of elbow grease, sweat, and dyno time you could have a pretty reliable turbo setup. See if you can score a junkyard intercooler from an older nissan or supra or eclipse. Also the first generation eclipse BOV's are great, cheap and easy to find. Also if you dont know the mileage on the turbo u can send it out to be rebuilt for a decent cost as well.
