Default Timing question

This should be an easy question for a bunch of dodge nuts. I am working on a 98 5.9 dakota for a friend, I need to set the timing, but I am not sure how and what to set the timing to. I know Fords have a spout connector that has to be disconnected and the tune port chevys have a wire that has to be disconnected, but I don't know if any thing has to be done before you set the timing on a 98 dodge and what the timing should be set to.

As far as I know on 98's nothing needs to be disconnected. Just place #1 Cly and the rotor directly pointing on it. If you need the firing order, check the FAQ in this section. If you need more info check the service manual in the stickies in this section.
