im thinking of making a box for my 98 ext cab and the subs will be at an angle so i can put my seat back and im planning on having the amp and everything in the box and just making clips where the wires plug into and snap on so i can take it out pretty easily when i need to

Just out of curiosity, has anyone made a sub enclosure for the middle seat in a regular cab, while still retaining the middle seat? Like some kind of sub underneath or inside of the seat itself? I'd love a sub in my reg cab, but there's crap behind all the seats, and the middle seat gets used sometimes.

I used a Pioneer 12" shallow mount sub. 1400w peak 350w RMS kicks pretty good with any type of music. Build a box behind the rear seats('02 quad cab). Nice and clean. I know yours is for an extended cab, im just putting the shallow mount idea out there

this has been done but essentially makes a console. no more middle seat.
