Just a quick couple of questions.. Are performance chips worth the money for the 4.7s? Im lookin at the superchips and just wondering about them. Are they universal with other dakotas? I looked on ebay and found this, it looks good just wondering If they are worth it on a stock 4.7 motor. heard a couple people on this forum talk about the superchips so here is the URL, any info with programmers would be awesome, thanks guys!

p.s- I seen on ebay, chiips that give you 300 hp/300 ft-tq. thats got to be bogus for 25$$...got to be fraud.

short answer is buy it if you want more hp. cant go wrong with superchips, it gives you alot of options for tuning. its worth it.

 

Yes superchips is a good buy and is worth it my uncle has one for his 7.3 powerstroke and it made a huge difference. Those ebay one are big time rip off I dont even know how they sell any and you forgot to mention that you get 25+ mpg with them

 

to maximize your mpg, for city driving keep it in the economy mode, then if you want to race or go out on the highway reflash it to the performance mode.

 

i just bought a superchips cortex for my 4.7L ram and i am very pleased with the results. it has a lot of tuning options and good performance for my taste....

 

got my superchip flashpaq for my 5.9 last week!
