Default Delayed Shut Down

Hi guys i'm hoping someone may be able to help. Three weeks ago i bought a 04 Dakota and after the purchase i noticed it would take about 3-5 seconds to shut down after i turn off the key. Friday my heater blower stopped working and I drove most of the day with the heater broke and the truck shut down as soon as i turned off the key every time. I just used the power point write up to change the blower motor resister and wiring harness(instructions with pictures can't get any better than that Thank you) All went well but i have noticed with the heater turned on the shut down is delayed but if i turn the heater off shut down is normal. Sorry for the long write up but i'm stumped and if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appricated. Terry

Just turn your heater off before you turn your key off and don't worry about it.
