Default Brakes

Hi, I seem to have a problem with my 2000 2x4 Dodge Dakota. When there is snow on the ground is when I notice it the most, I seem to have to much front brake, when I apply the brakes on snow covered roads the fronts will lock up but not the rears, should'nt I have more rear brake? And also the brakes on the back are new so it isn't a matter of worn brakes. Does anyone have a solution to this?? Thanks!!

your truck probably has rear wheel ABS only. and no it should have more front brake due to the fact that most of the weight of the vehicle is in the front. thats why when you get on the brakes in any vehicle the front end of the vehicle goes down and the rear comes up.

The ratio of front to rear brake is about 70-30. My 97 locks up in snow too.
