I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota, it is the 3.9L 2wd, i added some weight to the box for traction in the winter, and now im getting a periodic scrapping type sound out of the front end, drivers side, sounds like im draggin something, and i can feel it in the floor, i went underneith and looked around, and tried to move a few things to see if they were loose, but no luck, any thougts?
speed is not playing a factor, usually while going straight, i have not heard it yet while turning, it is not a constiant noise just periodically and last a few seconds, i have just taken the weight out of the box again to see if the noise still happens.
got my mechanic/ uncle to look at my truck tonight, he determined it to be my wheel barring (which i knew was wearing) but it was so bad i had almost a inch of movment in my wheel
