99 Dak, last night the interior light started flickering and when I shut the truck off I heard clicking noise from under the passenger side of the dashboard. I cycled the key a couple times and the clicking stopped. Next morning I try to unlock the doors remotely and now the battery is dead? Could my alternator be toast? I scanned for codes and got nothing

 

Is there an aftermarket anti-theft system installed? Also, were your dash lights flickering as well?

 

the dash lights were flickering a bit yes but not as noticeable as the interior one, no there is no aftermarket security system.

 

Have the battery tested. Also check that your ground cable is on the battery tight and hasnt loosend a little over time. Hopefully not a short.
