Default Help fixing transfer case leak and main seal

Ok, I have a 98 Dakota sport 5.2 4X4 and came home in my car and saw a big red wet spot under the truck, it is leaking where the transfer case and transmission bolt together. Now the drive is on a hill so the rear of the truck is lower than the front and the truck has sat for about 5 days so It leaked seting in park. Since it is on a slight hill, is there a seal at the end on the transmission that is leaking or is it the transfer case? should there be fluid where the to come together or are they sealed units? I also have a drip from the area where the transmission bolts to the motor, I'm guessing rear main seal. Any ideas on what to check first for the transfer case? And, I read in the book that the rear main seal is a 2 piece deal so disconnect the exhaust and take the oil pan off, unbolt the oil pump and then unbolt the seal, does that sound right or is there anything I should or shouldn't do?

As far as the rear main seal is it engine oil or transmission oil?
Yes probably a seal. Transmission output shaft seal. Or a transfercase input seal.

Having same issue. Same location and it started when I topped off transmission fluid. May just be coincidence but looks like same fluid I put in is coming out. Red ATF fluid. Really not looking forward to replacing seals in that location as it looks like a real pain. Also not sure if it is transmission seal or transfer case. It is right where they meet. Tried tightening bolts for time being just a hair but doubt it will do anything. Also wondering if I went with a heavier weight in the transfer case if It would help. Very slow drip maybe a drop a day. Any ideas.
