You don't want it too low or you will have a lot more lag.

Just kind of curious why you're using a 4 door 4x4 truck to turbo. I mean its sweet because there are no quad cab dakotas with turbos on them, but its not really a vehicle that you would most likely turbo. I mean even if you do a turbo its not going to be fast because of all the extra weight. And it won't handle well because of its suspension...

I mean I'm not trying to be a dick to you by any means and hope its not coming off like that. Just curious why you choose to do it to your truck...

I guess my answer would have to be: why not? I like my truck and have not problem making it my own... i just want to have the perfect, unique sleeper that one day is pushing 450 hp (thats my goal eventually) that is able to do work on some of those honda fa gs and **** off all the prius owners in the people's republic of Boulder...

basically to answer your question, cuz i can (not trying to be a dick or anything)

Ok, thats cool. I was just wondering. Do you planning on getting 450 out of the stock block? I think thats a stretch, it would have to be a built block in order to be able to push enough boost to get 450.

yeah that might be pushing it a little bit but with cams, 60# injectors, a turbo around 10-12 psi (wouldn't run more than that), and a full tune it might be possible... at the end of the day i just want it to be faster than it is right now and counteract some of the elevation up here lol

i would love a cummins but just couldn't give up the sound of a small block... one day when i have a garage and all that, i will replace this truck with a cummins but until then, its staying gasser (with a turbo! )
