My CHMSL (Centre High-Mounted Stop Light) isn't coming on when I switch on my headlights and taillights for driving at night. It comes on when the brakes are applied but I'm pretty sure it is supposed to burn continuously. The taillights come on fine and burn brighter when the brakes are applied. The signals work fine. Checked the fuses and they seem okay.

Can anyone confirm if the CHMSL is supposed to be on all the time like the taillights? If so, any possible solutions?

P.S. This could solve another of my problems which I've posted in a separate thread. I made this thread just in case the problems are not linked....

 

You already answered this question yourself. that is only a brake light. it is not meant to be on all the time.

 

the chmsl only illuminates when the brakes are applied, there is no tail lamp brightness.
