Hey guys,
New to the forum, infact new to trucks all together. My last 4 cars were Crown Victorias but since i moved to Maui i figured I'd better have a truck to get to all the good spots.
My Question.
I know i need to replace both of my front CV shafts there play in the joints and they click like mad when 4wd is engaged. When i look them up it says i have to know whether the truck was made before 9/11/00 or after 9/12/00. Of course my door tag says 9-00. Go figure. How would you go about figuring which ones to purchase? Here on maui parts are super expensive and, unless it's a toyota, are 14 day special order. I'd hate to get it all apart just to find out i got the wrong ones.
My Truck Specs.
2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
Short Box (not even sure the long would have been an option)
4.7 L 4x4
5-Speed Manual
Thanks in advance guys. I always had an awesome experience with the crownvic.net forums and look forward to diving into the mix with you guys.
