Where and what tires are you guys buying? Im having a hard time finding 255/55/17's. Locals cant get them . Online stores dont show them.
Search options on my Discount tire site I usually buy from say available.

How the Heck did you find those? I did the tire rack site, but said none available. Nice, thanks, In getting those from Disc TD!. The GY RSA's are on it now. And the spare is like new, so lm just buying 3....lol

 

I'm getting 275/50/17 for my r/t.. was suggested from several others on dakotart.. supposed to be nearly the same height.. and just shy of an inch wider

 

yea 275/50/17 equates to 27.8" tall and 255/55/17 is 28" tall the 275 and 255 is the width so the 275 is 20mm (bout .78") wider which will give you better traction

Several years ago I bought a set of Continental Extreme Contact 255x17, I think they're 55 or else 50 series, and absolutely love them!! I checked on them but they've been replaced by the Extreme Contact DWS or some such, supposedly an improvement.

Tire rack has them, 255 but maybe they're only 45 aspect ratio, check their sizes.
