Recently I was loosing 3rd&od gears. Followed by 1st&2nd.It came back as P845. Got a selenoid pac & throttle valve. Changed the valve assembly & selenoid pac as one unit. Replaced both filters.New gasket and the proper tranny fluid. Assembly went good. Went to turn over the truck.....nothing. All shift lights are on. Headlights, signals work. It doesnt read any codes. Any ideas guys.

 

Sounds like it doesn't think it's in park. will it turn over in neutral?

 

hi NYsteve. Not startinh in any position from P-L1.I didnt go anywhere close to the nuetral switch.The trottle cable needed a good push to get the bracket back on.New battery.Connections tight. Guy I work with is in jail(buys me time using bosses truck)any ideas....Its my baby.

 

Fuses are all good? may be electrical, use a test lamp or multimeter to see if the starter is getting power when you turn the key. (this is much easier with 2 people btw) if no power work backwards toward battery looking for anything wrong. if there is power to the starter when you turn the key, you may need a new starter.

 

Thanks NYsteve.Ill try that tommorrow.When last running Friday it was good.Would that cause all gear lights to come on.

 

turns out my tranny is pouched.when its in park on the shifter....its in some other gear in the tranny.
