I pulled the rear end out of my 2000 dakota 4x4 4.7 3.55

The spider gears and clutches are shot.

I cannot find another used rear end that doesnt have shot clutches at the least.


is there any re ends that are interchanagble???

If the 2wd insides in the case are the same i can find a 2wd rear end and just change the mouting brackets to the right place but i need to know if the 2wd guts will go inside my 4wd diff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

The insides will swap out as long as the rear end is the same. Most likely you have a Chry 8.25. You can order parts. Spider gears are cheep and easy to replace. Check out this site. http://www.ringpinion.com/
