Default Bigger wheels

My 2000 Dakota has the same size wheels that it came with from the factory, I want BIGGER wheels and tires but am afraid It might affect the transmission? What is largest wheels and tires that can go on without doing transmission damage?

Some say you can fit 31-33 on stock 4wd. For 2wd check the FAQ in the 2nd Gen Dakota sub forum. I will move this there.

I just got some 31x10.5 put on and there is minimal rubbing(only when im backing up and turning to the left) but they fit snug under there. you would have to crank the torsion bars and whatnot ti fit 33s in there.

i plan on going 32's when mine wear out but i'll have to crank the torsion bars in the front so they don't rub a lot i think ppl have fit like 285's but i think only 15's came on the 00 and older so you'd need 16's

32" x 11.5" tires fit fine on my truck. I haven't noticed any rubbing.
