Default Fuel sending unit

Ok yall, my next lil project on the Clone is the fuel sending unit. Every since I got the truck it has constantly jumped back and forth and ginin me the low fuel dinger and light every few seconds. Has anyone had the same problem? Is there a secret fix for the unit or is it non-serviceable meaning I need to replace the whole thing? Ordinarily I would just slide the bed back and drop a new one in but they are just a tad expensive on our trucks ($250 seems to be about normal in my area). I just really don't want to spend that much right now on something that's just annoying.

yep, you have to replace it. Might as well replace the pump too while you are there.

I thought they were both enclosed in the same unit. Oh well, I'll check it out soon.
