started an undercoat today
so the other day when i got up under my truck to see how im gonna remove my existing exhaust to do a couple of turn downs, i noticed some surface rust starting to appear in spots, so today i decided to start doing an undercoat, for today i used one can of rustoleam undercoat to paint where the spare goes and part of the frame there used a air grinder with a wire bush on the end to remove surface rust and scuff up the paint under there, forgot to take a before pic put i did take a pic of what it looks like on one of the frame rails to give u an idea what it used to look like
if u are thinking about doin this definitely wear eye protection and a mask as u are painting upside down, and this stuff is potent, ended up starting with no mask after three sec of spraying i had to pull myself outa there cause i couldn't breath lol and my face was coated in this stuff cause it sprays thick and some of the spray falls as it comes outa the can
stuff i used

before on frame rail

after where spare goes

Nice!
I gatta por-15 my Silverado frame, then undercoat it as well. It's gonna be a bitch. I'm not even gonna bother grinding off the rust since it's pretty much all surface rust covered. I'm just gonna por 15 it and call it a day.
