Default My "new" exhaust is complete

so for a while ive wanted to change the tailpipes on my truck so i could put my spare back up underneath and so it would stop rattling

so saturday i decided to change it, started around 10am and got the exhaust off by 1 and had the new back on by 345pm (had to be at work at 5pm lol)

i did two turndowns right after the muffler
i recorded a couple of vids this first one is what it was like no muffler (i drove down to advance to get some clamps lol)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNziGXOXpHQ

this is what the new system looks like, getting the turndowns in sucked cause my pipe was 2.25" but the outlet was 2.5" so i chopped off the end of the previous pipe and put that in the muffler then put the turndown in that and clamped the hell outa it then muffler sealed it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgufaZriF3o

and here is what the new system sounds like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB_gMKwg_v4

no where near as loud as no muffler so when this muffler finally rusts out im prolly gonna get one of those race fm 10 series nobody cares about noise ordinances where im at the only place i have to be worried bought being pulled over is the city i work in but i work on the skirts of that city so i should be good lol

I actually like this more than the side exit. Can't see any of it and its louder. Thank God for power/air tools just hack right thru that old pipe and used a air hammer to force the pipe off the original system after the cat

x2 and i'm sure you could get a side exit done for like 100 bucks somewhere it shouldn't be that much if you already have a muffler luckily for me my friend has a sawzall and welder and we've done exhaust for a bunch of our friends so its just gotta get warm enough out and i gotta order a spintech for it

yea ive wondered about those too
prolly not worth what they charge for them tho
i usually use something to cut it off that does it quickly and dont worry how jagged the cut is cause i just run it on our stand grinder
