one, looking to do a tune up. and i would like a vote on who thinks whats the best for:
plugs- please be detailed, champs, boschs, autos, ngk...etc
plug wires, size(important) brand?
cap/rotor-self explanitory
coil-this is a maybe but have you seen any improvements?
pcv?
tb?

lift:
im trying to figure out what length shocks for 2-3in torsion key lift in front, and the 4x2 hanger swap(anyone have some laying around?) in rear for about 3in lift there.

I just did a tune up on my 5.2 plugs(autolight 3923 best plug for 3.9,5.2 and 5.9) Cap(accel),rotor(not sure what brand it is) and wires were(standard bosch wires 7mm) Im not sure about the coil really I dont think replacing it will make a difference unless you go with a performance coil and dist. You should check your pcv and clean your tb if its dirty. Lift I cant help you with but there are other guys are on here that im sure can. Dual batts really why do you need them are you pumping out some serious bass? or do you have lights out the *** on your truck cause really thats the only reason you need to run dual batts. I dont know maybe another member can give better reason for them. Anyway I tried to help you out the most I could hope it helps

thx ramguy for the info, and to anwser your question. dual batteries have purpose, as i will have an aftermarket audio setup along with offroad extras, lights, winch, possible compressor. id like to be able to run it all effeciently. without draining my primary batt.

Ok I wasnt sure why you would need dual batts but I see now lol I guess it really all depends if you are using them at the same time.

will i be using them at the same time, well yes and no, when im wheeling for sure. but when im not wheeling the radio will certianly be in use, im a music junkie i listen to everything except classical(aside from a few songs) and gospel, just not into the whole catholic thing(born and raised tho). but i will be pumping some loud tunes and my stock infinity system dimms the dashlights already, and im already running an optima yellow. so i dont wanna see what happens after say 600rms on the main batt.

Wow that dims it? If I had to say sounds like your alt isnt charging that well I have stock speakers but aftermarket head unit and also had a 450 watt amp with a 10in sub hooked up to it and yes I know thats a lot but never made the lights dim at all and at times had the amp turned the whole way up.

kev im in same boat as you atm.... im debating on using E3 plugs for my 4.7 Dak..ive always used oem plugs.. i already run mobil1 snythetic might as well put a better spark in there if its going to help me int he mpg.. as for plugs yeah oddly i dont have em .. i have coilpacks..i sorta wish i had plugs.. it would make cheaper tuneups..rather then spending 25bucks a plug for a new coilpack..ive always ran oem and had zero problems .. now im just lookin at maybe squeaking out of the truck what i can with her shes got 101k miles on it.. bought her new with 2 miles..

as for the rest i cant help much..

What others have said unless you have a high performance engine E3's are pointless and waste of money. Why spend 8.00 a plug when its going to do the same as a 2.00 plug

When the 4.7 was designed, Chrysler ditched the distributor cap and wires for a coil-on ignition system. Each cylinder has its own individual ignition coil, and the plug is directly below it. The coils usually don't have to be replaced unless they go bad, and are easily removed (unplug the connector and remove one bolt for each coil) to provide access to the spark plug underneath. The only thing you really have to watch for is the o-ring seals on the coils. If they are bad, they will allow oil and other contaminants to coat the top of the plug, reducing the intensity (or completely drowning) of the spark.

i have tried all differant kinds of plugs and they all have only lasted 35k miles or so, stock plugs in my stock motor work just fine. a lot of my dealers say the 4.7 with coil packs eat plugs up.
