Ok fellas, my wife just finished an accessory refreshment on my truck. She pulled and cleaned the intake, changed the timing set, and water pump, plugs and probably some other stuff that i have forgotten. Anyway, when we made the test drive it flashed the C.E.L. so I checked it out and it came back with a code 12 as the first code and I havent checked the othere just yet because I didn't know how my system works without a scanner. I'll probably just drop by autozone and have them scan it for me but till then does anyone know what to do about this code 12???

 

I think that just means that your computer lost power...its a memory loss code or some such thing.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong...

 

Yeah, that's what I came up with too but then I cleared it and drove it a bit and it was "ok" then I got into it a little bit and it gave me a bit of a hiccup and another C.E.L. I droped by Autozone and they said it was a bad oxygen sensor (which I had just replaced) so I looked and found a broken wire on that sensor. I repaired the wires and haven't had any problems as of yet. I have gotten into it a few times and everything seems ok for now.
